The Lord blows my trumpet

Perhaps you recognise the title as being a quote from Joey ‘the lips” Fagan in the film The Commitments.

I was out at the house our study cohort have named “the Frat House” this evening. While most of us are stying in halls, two groups of four have taken AirBnB properties nearby. The “Frat House” is currently home to four gentlemen who appear to be reliving their youth, and for some of us there has been in invitation on some evenings to enjoy their company. The evening brings a lovely home-cooked meal, too much wine, and films of past era. Last week I go to enjoy “Whisky Galore”. Tonight it was “Hear my Song” and “The Commitments”.

There is lots of laughter, much needed after the studying of the day. And ridiculous challenges offered. Apparently I am to somehow fit the above quote into my presentation tomorrow. I didn’t ask what my reward would be do should I manage to do so, so I am currently reflecting on whether I am up to the challenge.
